Customers want more in their shopping experience.

The goal was to bring technology into the store where customers can come in and interact with the products they selected, giving them the best experience in store.

Choices Flooring, an Australian flooring chain, decided to give it to them by creating an interactive element with digital signage. Shoppers can use the interface to view products, select the range of products, and print or email their selections. At the “Inspiration Station,” mood boards, design ideas and touchscreens combine to give the customer a one-of-a kind shopping experience.

The company worked with Prendi, an Aussie digital signage company in Brisbane, to create the concept that will be rolled out to each of the chain’s location over the next year.

“The goal was to bring technology into the store where customers can come in and interact with the products they selected, giving them the best experience in store,”  Jason Verstack, Choices Flooring’s group marketing manager, told RetailCustomerExperience.com.

Do you think this kind of retail experience will become necessary or normal in the future?
