With T-fal’s OptiGrill, the food almost cooks itself.

The manufacturer, known for its nonstick cookware and small appliances, has introduced a new “intelligent” indoor grill for cooks.

Now your customers can grill a perfect medium-rare steak right on their kitchen counter.

The OptiGrill features sensors that can determine the thickness of the food being grilled. A cooking level indicator changes color according to the stage the food has reached and beeps at each new level. Now your customers can grill a perfect medium-rare steak right on their kitchen counter.

With six automatic program choices, OptiGrill users can grill burgers, poultry, sandwiches, sausage, red meat or fish with the push of a button. The manual cooking function allows them to grill vegetables and create their own recipes. And the defrost setting can thaw and cook food from a frozen state.

A brushed stainless steel exterior makes the OptiGrill attractive enough to be left out on the kitchen counter, but its compact size makes it easy to store. Its cooking plates and drip tray are removable and can be thrown in the dishwasher for fast cleanup.

Priced at $179.99, the OptiGrill is only available currently at Bed Bath & Beyond. But T-fal products are generally available at most retailers, and the hopefully the new OptiGrill soon will follow suit.
