Pets can interact with their owners with PetBot, which is gaining backers through its IndieGoGo campaign. Dogs or cats can simply walk up to the device and the PetBot will record a short video clip to send to their owners (via iOS or Android devices), then give the pets a treat. The device also allows owners to contact their pets by recording messages or speaking to them directly through the PetBot. They can also plan calming music to keep pets relaxed throughout the day. It’s expected to retail for $189.

iQ Pet’s StarWalk is a simple solution for any pet owner who wants to keep track of their animal’s activity for the day. All they need to do is affix it to their pet’s collar and StarWalk will track activity times and types, calories burned, total steps and distance traveled, and temperature. Stats can be viewed via an app for iOS or Android devices.
