In construction, accurate measurements are a must if the job is to be done right. The newer generations of tape measures and laser levels not only provide those accurate measurements, but can also send those measurements directly to a smartphone, eliminating the need to carry pencil and paper to track measurements and cuts. Two examples of these products include:
eTape16™ digital tape measures: eTape16 and the eTape 16 Bluetooth offer both the convenience of a standard tape measure along with a digital readout that displays each measurement, reducing possible errors. Each tape allows users to save up to two measurements in long-term memory, and can set centerpoints along any length. The Bluetooth version also sends measurements to a smartphone and allows for data to be transferred into an Excel spreadsheet.
Bosch GLM Laser Measure with Bluetooth: The GLM 100 C Laser Measure by Bosch also uses Bluetooth technology to instantly and wirelessly send measurements to a smartphone. Operated on rechargeable lithium ion batteries, the GLM 100C has 10 measurement modes, an integrated tilt sensor, and remote control functionality.
