Most retailers know about destination stores—retailing spaces that people travel long distances to for shopping and spending time in the store. Destination stores generally have a large footprint and provide entertaining environments such as fully stocked in-door streams or climbing walls. The concept may seem out of reach for small retailers who don’t have the extra space or the extra cash, but fortunately, the ideas that destination stores implement to draw customers in are scalable and can be applied to any business in the form of shoppertainment.
