Getting the optimal amount of sleep is a must for anyone, and the world of internet of things and home automation is helping consumers do just that.

The latest in sleep tracking devices is the Sense by Hello. Unlike devices that need to be set up or worn during sleep, the Sense is a voice-activated tabletop unit with multiple functions. Not only does the product serve as a gentle alarm clock, it also has additional features such as sleep sounds and sensors for humidity, temperature and ambient light. The Sense can connect with home automation systems such as Hue and Nest to control both lights and temperature, allowing users to change settings with a simple vocal request. The sleep-tracking feature is controlled in conjunction with an included “Sleep Pill” that is attached to the pillow. With an additional Sleep Pill, the Sense will also track the sleep patterns of a bed partner as well.
